When marketing automation first became a buzzword, there were surely a number of unbelievers. There were those who couldn’t imagine how the automation would save more than just the time in sending out emails. Marketo‘s blog entry about it in 2014 featured 5 reasons why marketing automation is helpful in businesses and why it’s more than just a trend. The 5  reasons mentioned were

  • scalability,
  • reporting,
  • alignment with sales team,
  • communicating in a personal way (where there are behavioral filters that can be chosen to appeal better to a target audience), and
  • running programs across multiple channels
